Environmental experts worldwide have recognized diesel emissions
as a health risks. Governments around the world have adopted tighter emission
standards related to NOx and Particulate Matter (PM) from diesel-powered
vehicles. In particular, the adoption of the Euro IV standards in 2005
and Euro V regulations that will likely be adopted in 2008 will have a
dramatic impact on the use of emission control devices in Europe. Current
techniques for meeting emissions standards in diesel vehicles require
the use of several methods, including diesel oxidation catalysts ("DOCs"),
Catalyzed Diesel Particulate Filters ("CDPFs") and Selective
Catalytic Reduction ("SCR") systems.
CSI Solution
Catalytic Solutions has been producing diesel oxidation
catalysts since 2000. In addition, we are working with leading auto and
substrate manufacturers to develop DOCs, CDPFs and SCR systems utilizing
our MPC®technology to meet European light and heavy duty regulations
with minimal or no PGMs. Test results indicate that our solution can reduce
PGM utilization by over 80% and has superior stability and durability
to similar products made by our competitors.
